Candle Molds

Candle molds are an essential part of the candle making process. They are basically containers, made to whatever shape the chandler chooses, into which melted wax is poured. Once the wax hardens inside the mold, and around the wick, the finished candle is removed and can be readily used.

Candle molds can be made to create candles of nearly any size or shape. They can also be designed to add texture to the outside of the candle as well. Grubby candles are an excellent example of this applied technique.

Many candle molds are designed to create novelty candles. Floral themes are very popular novelty designs, as are sports and holiday themes. Some novelty candles are made to resemble food items such as vegetables and fruit.
