Candle Supplies

If you want to try and make your own candles, there are some candle supplies you will need to purchase. The most important supply will undoubtedly be fuel, usually in the form of wax. As a general rule, there are four commonly used fuels for candle making; beeswax, paraffin wax, plant-based wax and gel.

Molds and containers are essential candle supplies for the chandler. Molds are generally made from metal or plastic, although they can be made from rubber or silicone as well. Most containers are made from heat resistant glass or ceramic.

Wicks are an essential part of any list of candle supplies. There are many different types of wicks available to the modern chandler; including hemp, citronella and braided cotton. The right type of wick is largely dependant on the personal tastes of the candle maker.
